Hmm well sorry to go against the grain, but I liked it. Especially since it was still quite drinkable after over 2 years. Bottle conditioned, aroma is a medium sweet barley smell, with some good sour lagered yeast, musty. There is a great bitter spicy element in this beer. Finishes strong and lightly malty. I will admit the body is a bit soapy tasting, but not watery, AND, I drank this at about 68 degrees! Good hint of fruitiness in the malt. This would be great, fresh in Russia

Oct 9, 2002 Light gold in colour with a good sized head. Quite a sweet, malty lager. Its almost a Fosters, although marginally superior.

Apr 28, 2002 I hope this is the Budweiser of Russia or else I don’t want to go there on a beer vacation. I would feel bad about buying this one if I didn’t get it for 99cents. Extremely average!

Dec 26, 2008 Bottled@HBF2005. Notebook said "NAPHAC", which probably was my attempt to write cyrillic and try finding it out. Pale golden colour, not much head. Aroma is grain and quite lagery. Flavour is a standard lager with not much interesting.

Dec 19, 2002 Bottled. Straw gold, head starts well but drops leaving a thin white oil slick on the surface. Starts well with a bit of sweet malt but in the mouth it is sweet and fruity with a faint marzipan taste before developing into a cloying sweet saccharine like finish

Feb 27, 2003 Very harsh and chemical for an "elite beer" as label says. Typical Baltika off-flavors are still there.

Feb 20, 2006 Bottled(500ml). -pale golden coloured, medium quick-disappearing head, low carbonation, standard pils nose, harsh taste with no hops at all, drinkable but nothing more than that
