Commercial Description:
The soul of this sparkling Bavarian speciality is the yeast from our own imported strain. Together with the best quality wheat, a naturally cloudy Hefe-Weissbier is created. Unfiltered and unpasteurised, a must for any beer lover.

Draught at the Brauhaus mit roasted eisbein, knoedel und sauerkraut. Mmmm...Good stuff. Pours cloudy amber with rich head that subsides somewhat leaving a good lacing. Typical hefeweizen aroma of yeasty dough and banana. Flavour of wheat malt, medium sweetness, banana and light citrus. Low bitterness. Very refreshing. I am in!

On tap at the Bräuhaus, February 2009. A cloudy golden colour with a good head. A fresh, yeasty aroma. A fairly malty wheat and hop flavour with some clove and a little citrus. Compared to the Munich version, this seems maltier and the alcohol is more evident, doesn’t have the same fresh citrus notes though. Still an excellent brew.

(On tap) Very cloudy orangey golden with a dense and frothy off-white head that leaves some laces. Aroma of cloves and yeast. Medium body with a fairly heavy carbonation, lots of banana esters, yeast and phenols - all the classic Hefe accents are present making this a fine, dry Hefe. 160508

[Draught at the brewpub (November 2005)] Cloudy dark yellow rich head. Estery banana aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Flavours consist of banana, bread and raspberries. Low bitterness. Refreshing, if a bit fizzy.
