Bottle. Hazy orange/amber colour with a bigt creamy off-white head leaving a good lacing. Good wheat aroma, sweet with roasted malts. The flavour is sweet and yeasty, fruity banana, a good roasty maltiness, slightly smoky. A bit too sweet for my taste buds but a good dark wheat brew.

I like dunkels but this was a bit below quality. brown and slightly hazy and fairly flat. Quite powerful wheat presence which is probably what put me off.Not one I would try again,

Big, solid, lasting beige head. Nearly translucent brown Mouth-watering aroma of quality yeast and malt. Beer is lighter than expected, even for a hefe, a little watery even. Flavors are not too complex. Malt, a little sweet caramel, some bananna. Not a bad beer, but it seems to be lacking in character compared to other dunkelweizens I have tried.

Purchased in Germany. 500ml bottle with a 02.07 best by date on it. Pours a very cloudy dark brown with some hints of amber. The head is two fingers tall, and fades slowly to a to thick cap, leaving behind a solid sheet of foam in the glass. Smell; this has a solid wheat aroma, with a little clove and bananas. There’s a very nice caramel malt presence as well. Pretty much what I would expect in a Dunkel Weizen, but not really outstanding. Taste; bananas and cloves are present in the flavor along with the wheat and caramel malts. This follows the aroma, but with a hint of bubblegum, and the other flavors are a bit more pronounced than the aroma was. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a very smooth carbonation, and the drinkability is really good. I would have no problem enjoying more than one of these in a night.

<50cl bottle on Egmont> Dark shady amber/brown appearance with a long lasting white/tan head. Notes of roasted malt and floral lime hobs. The balance betwenn malt, hobs and wheat is well done, and the lively carbonation works well in this beer. Overall really enjoyable!

Bottle. Muddy brown with a tone towards orange. Little creamy head that stays all the way through the hefe glass. Aroma i sweet with some roasted tones, some oranges, lots of bananas. Taste as well is fine - one of the best hefe dunkels.

Bottle. First impression was that it wasn’t quit as dark in colour as expected. The hue is more brownish with a muddy look. Particles are large. Head is average, creamy white with fair lacing which was mostly lasting. Aroma is very nice with notes of coriander, grapefruit, orange, some perfume, banana, caramel maybe even some bubblegum in there as well. Very refreshing and reasonable complex sniff. If sniffed hard, some acidity can also be detected. Palate were medium bodied with a sparkling texture and very fizzy carbonation that gave the sparkling feel. Initial flavour was moderated sweet with light acidity to it. Not much bitterness to detect here. Finish is again sweet and slightly acidity.
