Lovely hazy bronze to caramel brown in color with whipped tan fluff riding a third of an inch high and retaining well for the head. Aroma takes an original route: allspice, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and chocolate bananas with caramel and ginger drizzles. A subtle vanilla and white chocolate toffee bark element comes in on the backend. Flavor is a light flight. Loose caramel and cloves get a little help from ginger root and dried banana shavings. Light spiced bread aided and abetted with cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugared spice drops. At times, we’re sucking on grandpa’s seltzer with both flavor and mouth feel. Light bodied with a lightly spiced tongue titillation at times. Scaled back balance on all accords, finishing with spiced grahams, light chocolate cocoa powder, spiced gingerbread and a big swig of soda water held in the mouth (simultaneously) bring us to a somewhat disquieting finish. hayduke (1658), Eureka, California, USA

Poured a dark orange with cloudiness. Big tan head. Good nose of malts and fruit. Some spices there too. Good smooth, almost oily mouthfeel. Goes down like syrup. This was very nice. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 25, 2006 Updated: Jul 27, 2007Strong aroma of flowers, banana and chocolate toffee. The colour is changing througout the class, from dark honey to mahogany. Very sweet taste, the flavors dancing around without finding a place to sit. A bit clinical, medicinal aftertaste. The body is healthy, the beer average as a total. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy brown-copper with a large fluffy off-white head. The aroma largely consists of pepper spices and banana...amongst bubble gum. Super smooth, creamy body with only little carbonation. Flavours of banana fruits, clove, overtop a slight toastiness. May be a bit watery in the finish. Pretty solid otherwise. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
