Aroma of typical banana and clove, with a hint of spices and fruits. Flavour is really the same, with a decent malty aftertaste. Not as much bread flavour/character as I tend to look for. Extremely effervescent, the carbonation can quickly fill one up. Enjoyable, but I don’t think this style is really "my thing", but I can tell it’s a well-made example of it, so I’m still giving it a fair rating. oldrtybastrd (1823), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Spicey malt aroma, with some fine wheat present too, hazy brown, traces of gold throughout, a tiny toffee head and some lovely lace. Flavour has a toasty caramel, malt start, a gorgeous wheat infusion, banana, nutty, plenty of spice also. Very well balanced, medium bodied, tongue tinglingly good, bitter towards the finish. Terrific! A real treat @ The Black Forest Restaurant in My hometown of Hamilton! MrManning (1655), London, Ontario, Canada

Nice lace. Yeasty, bubble gum nose with plum, lemons, banana, and wheat with clove. Quite tasty with fruity yeast, bubble gum and candy flavours, with rye bread and just a bit of spice towards the finish. Sweet, refreshing, satisfying Dunkelweizen. sirPino (866), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Very nice wheat and sweet Munich malt aroma, average for a dunkelweizen. Frothy head, cloudy and chestnut dark brown pinetree like in colour. A bit worse than the Hefeweizen counterpart. Yeasty, brown malty, and sweet. Mellow but also slightly accidic from its effervescence. Kind of intriguing, strange aftertaste (a bit flat though).
