magildagom (8), Grapevine, Texas, USA does not count Mar 21, 2008 pours nicely leaving a good creamy ,thick head. Has nice hints of banana and is very fresh. Goes good with just about anything. Very good baseline Hefeweizen beer. greedycheater (80), Oklahoma, USA Mar 19, 2008 Pours great for a hefe, muddled and golden, small head with light lacing.. Heavy barley aroma that is sweet and strong with hints of citrus. First taste reaction: That is good! Somehow almost full-bodied, rich and creamy, yet bitter and salty and truly hefe-like. Very good! - and that is coming from a guy who doesn’t like hefes - i prefer dopplebocks. fluffy (229), Florida, USA Mar 15, 2008 22 oz Paulaner glass, if im not mistaken. this is by definition a perfectly re-drinkable beer. thin head wilth a little lace. cloudly with citrusy aroma(didnt help the bartender put an orange slice in it). light spice, strong on citrus, great smooth mouthfeel. yeastyness that dissipates quickly. honestly on a warm summer day or humid evening, this is just about a perfect beer. Gmoney (250), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA Mar 12, 2008 12 oz bottle ..hazy golden orange , thick off white head, some lace . aroma of citrus and bubblegum . fresh citrus flavor with a munich malt background and doughy yeast. decent body and carbonation . GSUFan513 (1), USA does not count Mar 11, 2008 I really enjoyed this beer. Rather new to ’tasting’ beer and trying to find out what I like and what I don’t. Have not tried enough to give a really good explanation, but I will do my best.
I’ve had this beer in the bottle and tap. The aroma out of the bottle is good, a hint of citrus. the appearance is a nice dark golden, almost orange tint. The flavor is very good. Best with an orange I have found, but almost just as good without it. Goes down smooth, and just a good beer to me. Jayb0 (750), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Mar 10, 2008 The definition of German hefeweizen. Heavy baked bread, clove, bubblegum on the nose. Too much for my individual taste but certainly the style. Decent head. Light bodied with high carbonation, a quaffable beer with very light hop character. Hinez57 (129), Clinton, Mississippi, USA Mar 7, 2008 Lightly fruity, clove with a slight citrus aroma. Beautiful in a glass, great white head and orange hue. Flavor is munich and wheat grain with a fantastic yeasty and dough flavor. Hints of fruit with a good strong clove finish. Banana flavors come out as it warms. Nice mouth feel, full and slightly chewy. Overall never ever a disappointment. A very solid HefeWeizen. leftarmover (8), Alberta, Canada does not count Mar 7, 2008 Thick off white head. Orange hue with suspended yeast when poured as intended. Fresh tart wheat with little discernible hop. Drank in midwinter, but would bet this is a cracking summer thrist-quencher.
