Paulaner Hefeweissbier

From a bottle. Pours a nice tan, cloudy yellow with a thin, creamy white head. The aroma is very mild, containing wheat, a hint of citrus and spice. The taste is banana, cloves and mild, but very nice spiciness in the finish. In my opinion that little kick of spice sets this Hefe apart from others (Weihenstefaner included). The beer is fully bodied, but not to the point of overwhelming the refreshing taste. Really excellent overall - one of my favorite session beers.

Tap. standard weisen citric aroma and orange color. Kind of a watered down. easy to drink but unimpressive.

Bottle. Nice cloudy dark yellow with a white head. Yeast and wheat aroma, medium body. fast begin and end but very tasty. a Nice Beer.

16.9 oz bottle-A nice cloudy yellowish orange with a nice two finger white head and a slight aroma of citrus and wheat. Taste of banana, cloves, wheat, and cloves. I remember this being better but as I am doing a Hefe tour this one is a bit lacking compared to others but still very good.

A solid beer that poured a medium to dark golden with a white fluffy head. Medium citrusy aroma and taste. Also some fruit in taste. Decent beer but I wouldn’t(didn’t) rate it as high as many others. Would buy again but wouldn’t consider it anything super special.

Draught. Sweet nose, flowery with lots of citrus. Good cloudy pale orange color. Some sourness balanced out the sweeter flavor profile. Full bodied and drinkable. Great hefe.

Definitely one of the better Hefeweizen’s out there. The flavor is crisp and fruity and finishes smooth. I wish I could find it on tap.

[833-20071110] Tap @ Bier Markt (Toronto, ON; just called "Paulaner Weissbier"). Mild banana malt aroma. Hazy, orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Bit of banana skin flavour and an long slightly tangy orange citrus finish. Medium body. In good condition, hidden alcohol.
