Paulaner Hefeweissbier

Immediately very bright aroma, wheat and lots of banana. Very nice and refreshing. Unclear and golden, very cloudy with lots of bubbles rising to the top. Nice small white head that is lasting. Really nice flavor, i like it. Some light fruitiness, a little alcohol in the finish. Some banana in the flavor too. Mouthfeel is bubbly and refreshing. Nice beer.

This beer is a cloudy amber/straw color with a thick and foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Patchy lacing. Aromas of citrus, wheat and clove dominate. Medium body with a nice array of flavors. Wheat, grainy malt, banana and spices are all intermingled with an underlying tartness. The finish is yeast and bananas followed by a light hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

0.5 l bottle. Vol. 5.5%. Pours murky golden body with medium head. Very nice aroma of banana and wheat is also noticed, with also hints of orange hops. Flavor is sweetish, wheat is again felt of course and there are some hints of fruits. Light bodied but definitely not empty, very well balanced. Carbonation felt mostly on palate. Very pleasant long and quite light finish. Indeed, great wheat beer.

On tap - Poured hazy yellow color with small head. Hefe weiss beers are not my favorite but this is one of the better ones I have had. Very light mouthfeel and is almost like drinking a non alcoholic drink.

Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier Naturtrüb, 500 ml bottle 5.5% at Systembolaget, Sweden. Hazy, cloudy and beautifully golden. Medium whitish head. Creamy mouth feel, carbonation fairly high. Aroma of wheat, banana (strong), lemon, orange, cloves (faint) and yeast. Strong banana flavor with wheat, lemon, orange and cloves; maybe a hint of toffee. Aftertaste of bitter grapefruit. Very, very nice! Wonderfully refreshing! Can’t wait to drown some on a hot day!

Aroma of wheat, apples, and citrus. Appearance is a cloudy tan with a creamy white head. Sweet flavor with an excellent balance of fruit and grains. Palate has good body and moderate carbonation. Overall an outstanding hefeweizen.

Pours hazy golden orange with a bubbly head, zesty lemon, wheat sweetness on the nose, velvety body with slight sweetness and just a touch of hops in the finish. Probably the smoothest hefe-weizen around.
