Bottle pours a hazy light golden, large fluffy white head, sticky lacing, with light carbonation.   Classic clove and banana aroma.   Flavor is forwardly bananaesque, with light spices.   Wheaty mouthfeel, decent body, albeit one of the lighter German Hefes that I have had.   Finishes ever so slightly bitter, slightly yeastie.   A good example of the style, but I still prefer Weihenstephaner.

Cloudy dark yellow, thick creamy and persistent white head. Looks good. Banana aroma. Taste is rather mild but rather complex with the banana, wheat, some citrus and mild spices. Doughy yeast. Medium creamy body. Soft carbonation. An easily drinkable beer that’s mild enough for the occasional drinker yet solid enough for the real beer lover. You won’t hear me say anything bad about this beer. Actually you won’t hear me say anything at all since you are reading me.

500ml on can. Present from beer rater Catweazle (thanks!) Yellow golden with a nice white head mostly lasting. Hazy body. Aroma of sweet grain and citrus. Sparkling. Light bodied mouthfeel, but well balanced flavour with the sweetness of banana and the acidic of lemon. A touch of malt in a rather short ending.

Wonderful smell of wheat. Translucent gold colour, fluffy big head. Well balanced, smooth. Nice session beer.

500. Pours a murky medium toffeeish amber. Creamy white head and plenty of it. Decently powerful banana nose. Creamy medium body showing banana but not a heck of a lot of clove. Mild finish. A very understated and somewhat refreshing beer.

Cloudy orange with an above-average head. Good banana and vanilla nose. Flavours start sweet and fruity, gradually developing spicier and drier. Some grainy texture, quite sparkling, but not overly so. Probably my favourite hefeweizen (so far).

Delicious beer all around, and the one I always point to when trying to get people to enjoy a true german hefe instead of the american style ones. Strikes a great balance of sweet banana esters, dry wheat, light clove, and light citrus hints. Palate is lively carbonated and perfectly balanced. One of the best hot summer day brews in my opinion.
