Decently powerful banana nose. Creamy medium body showing banana but not a heck of a lot of clove. Mild finish. A very understated and somewhat refreshing beer. Terrific weizen aromas of banana, sweet spice and a little vanilla biscuit. Fruity (banana), a little bready, sweetly spicy with a creamy mouthfeel and a tart finish. This is the best weizen I’ve had in a long time! DruncanVeasey (2745), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Vibrant apricot-orange, snowy white head. Begins with succulent crunchy green apple and banana, parts with a woody dryness. Remember those long-outlawed candy cigarettes you could buy in the 80s? That’s what the nose reminds me of. Sweet, but plenty enough tart wheat and resiny dryness to have me reaching for another. Nicely rounded Hefe. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

I was mystified by watching the yeast mix with this layering affect with the temperature changes. Crazy...Very creamy head, great lacing great appearance. Musky aroma, that reeked of cloves and pears and citrus. Very light, another great summer time session beer. riversideAK (2736), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Pours a nice hazy bright yellowish orange. Flavor is dominated by the sweet banana with a little bit of vanilla and an amazing crisp citrus finish. Refreshing and very enjoyable. Some fruity flavors, banana maybe, and pleasent mellow "wheat" finish. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2003 A nice compliment to my meal. Lemony and mild, with somewhat of a dull palate--a little flat--and it is more brown and hazy in appearance than other hefeweizens, yet it has a better combination of flavors, judged side-by-side with the things my friends were drinking.
