Nearly clear light amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Yeasty nose. Starts with a wheat-yeast flavor, nice clean finish. Good example of a hefe-weizen. $1.50 for a 12 oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2008 12 fl oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Lukas, Kansas City, Missouri. Produced on 02/08 on label. I have no idea how I haven’t rated this beer yet. Pour is hazy cloudy yellow golden with streaking carbonation bubbles and a big 3 inch white head. Head slowly falls, leaving nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is clove, bananas, bubble gum and nice wheatiness. When I think Hefe nose, I think of this. As the beer warms, some smokiness becomes evident, adding a nice layer of complexity. Taste is initially the slightly tart wheat, with a nice clean transition into the cloves of the yeast. Clean palate, medium to thin - drinkable and refreshing. I have always really enjoyed this beer. Nothing complicated, just straight forward and delicious. BuckeyeBoy (1674), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2006 I could not find this on draft so settled for a bottle which I got at an outdoor cafe in Erfurt, Germany. Poured a golden orange with a very nice white head that left good lacing. Greated by a good nose of fruit (mostly banana) and some light spices, again mostly clove. Smooth mouthfeel, and a solid finish. A good hefe and tasted really fresh. MrManning (1655), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2004 Nice wheat beer! Poured a blanchy white head, with a cloudy gold body. Aromas of clove and banana are present, but I am also getting another fruit in here....apples or plums??? Tastes similar to other beers of the same style, only I find there to be less alcohol present in this one. Doug Shoemaker hooked me up with this, and I am glad he did. Thanks Doug! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Hazy darker golden in color, huge white head. Aroma rather subdued rotten banana and yeatsy wheat. Flavor much the same with some fruit esters just hard to pinpoint. Re-rate in the future as I really don’t think this bottle is too fresh. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 2, 2006 Unclear yellow colour, orange haze. average white head. Malty aroma, some yeast. Herby flavour, finish is dry and herby. NachlamSie (1647), Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden hue with a nice white head. The aroma has more hints of apples and caramel than I usually expect from the style. Clove and banana are present as well, but hide behind some of the maltier scents. The flavor is mildly sweet without much dryness. I get hints of apples, honey, cloves, garlic butter, and banana. This is all right. It’s an easy drinker and great for a session, but lacks the more extensive depth and complexity that can be found in the finest of hefeweizens.
