The taste is yeast, banana, some citrus and a light hop. The body is what makes it really nice; it’s thicker than other Hefes and quite good. A good drink overall. kiefdog (1629), Tampa, Florida, USA

Cloudy golden/orange coloured, huge lasting white head. Strong aroma of banana and wheat, nice. Sweet flavour, wheat, fruity notes. Thick mouthfeel. Certainly good, but in the style i think Weihenstephaner and Franziskaner are superior. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Taste of banana, cloves, wheat, and cloves. I remember this being better but as I am doing a Hefe tour this one is a bit lacking compared to others but still very good. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 14, 2005 After a long search, I’ve finally found this..... in a bar near my uni. Great. 0.33l bottle, drank from a Paulaner weissbier glass. Said 5.5%, but same thing probably. It poured an enormous, thick white head, gold/orange colour. Not as misty as some, but who cares. Well carbonated. The nose was spicy, with hints of bananas maybe, not as assertive as in, say, Franziskaner, but nice enough. The taste was....well.... good. Typical weissbier taste, only better. Banana, lemon, yeast. Pleasant stuff. Faint banana aftertaste. Doesn’t beat Franziskaner in my opinion, but that one’s a sentimental favorite, and that probably has something to do with it. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2007 12 oz. bottle, "Produced On" date in the lower right hand corner of front label (06/07), sampled in a weizen glass.
Yeast cloudy in appearance, reddish orange hued golden yellow in color. Large frothy, rocky topped white head, slowly settled into a thin creamy lacing, small amount of ringed laced sticking.
Aromas of lemon and banana peel, clove and nuts, a really nice yeasty smell. A light spiciness mingles with the honey bready malts.
Velvety, creamy smooth medium body, moderate carbonation, goes down quite easily. Balanced and tasty, squeezed lemons, bubble gum, mild nutty banana, a mushy fruity sweetness. Traces of honey grains and sweet bread, the malts dry out at the end. The hops provide a delicate spiciness in the finish.
An affordable German hefeweizen that delivers everything I could want in the style.
