| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2007 I’m not a hefe fan, but this one’s listed on the top 50 accessible beers, so I had to try it. Pours a typical hazy citrus orange colored hue. Nose is yeasty and bitter. Flavor is similar, with a touch of spice and sweetness. Finish is bitter and clean. One of the better hefe’s I have had, and the only German one. Not one of my favorite styles, but over all, not bad. LaChad (1375), San Francisco, California, USA

This and Pyramid are the best hefeweizens available in America, without a doubt. Sharp, wheat/fruity taste that is very refreshing. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

Cloudy orangish brown color, nice white head. Wheaty aroma with banana and clove, some citrus. Flavor is wheaty with a sweet, light, refreshing citrusy taste. Really refreshing and incredibly drinkable. Why can’t they all be this good? Bullit (1374), Glasgow, Scotland

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 22, 2007 Had this beer on 1/22/1998. Color is a pale golden with a slight haze in it, carbonation is good with a small amount of head being held on top. Aroma has a sour fragrance with a touch of lemon hidden in the back. Taste is wonderful full of spicy, and citrus flavor. It starts off with a medium body that as it goes down the flavor begins to come alive, and finishes with a sour taste that has back tones of malt, spice, and citrus. I think the best way to describe the flavor of this beer is that it is bursting with flavor, but is not overwhelming. Its the berst Hefe and is what all Hefe’s should be judged by
