Pleasant clove/banana flavor, but somewhat marred by a lingering cloying sweetness.

Mainstream German wheat beer. Beats the American ones any day hands down. If you got to have Hefe, here you go.

Milky honey gold under a huge long lasting fine bubbled pale yellow white head. Faint graint sour citrus aroma when cold becoming hoppier and celery like when warmer. Medium body with ordinary low zing flatish type palate. Medium light bitter sweet and sour grainy start. Sweeter grainy banana flavoured middle and thereafter. Pleasant enough but lack real definition and there are many other better hefes out there.

Huge banana flavor! This is a top notch german wheat that is similar, but not quite as good as, Ayinger Brau-Weisse (my standard thusfar). Very resfreshing due to light body and heavy carbonation. Good for sore throats.

500ml - Aroma of musty yeast, wheat, wet malts, orange and clove. Pours cloudy gold with medium head and great lacing. Flavor is refreshingly tart and clean. Citrus, yeast, wheat and a subtle spice in the finish. Palate is crisp, bubbly, tart, and creamy. Very tasty hefe.

Draft. It poured a nice cloudy orangey gold hue with a full thick white head. Aroma was a nice mix of yeast and lemons. A good balance of bread notes and citrus notes. Crisp and full yet easy t to drink.

Good light yellow / straw colored clooudy wheat beer with a huge frothy white head. Nose of sweet fruit and malt. Taste is wheaty and yeasty, a little clovely, but not the sweet banana style. Not bad but smaller and less pronounced flavor, less interesting than either the Weihenstephaner or the Schneider hefes. // Rerate 3 July 2003 after having a couple on draft. Color is a beautiful orange amber. Might increase appearance slightly to 4. Taste is still clove, then banana without sweetness, then wheat and yeast.

500ml Bottle- Hazy golden/amber in appearance with a large white head. Grainy aroma with lemon and a very slight hint of banana. Wheaty, yeasty taste with banan and syrup featuring strongly. Not bad.
