Spice and banana aroma that’s very refreshing smelling. Easy to drink with a wonderfully crisp palate. The taste is a mild fruit and yeasty combination. I’m a wheat beer fanatic and this is an archetype of what a wheat beer should be. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 25, 2008 This is a nice hefeweizen with a lighter bubblegum/banana quality and stronger toasty grain quality. It is lightly cloudy gold with a very big, dense off-white head that lasts long and is creamy. Teh aroma is 1st toasty grain but this gives way to bubblegum, banana, light yeasty wheat bread, fresh plums - very nice. The taste is tingly with a light grain quality throughout plus a light bubblegum and banana quality, lemon-lime soda pop, balanced sweet-bitter character, then in the finish the toasty grain takes over for a long finish, more so than seems usual for German hefeweizens. It’s a great example. BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA

I really enjoy its flavors - light, crisp, fruity, slighty sweet, with hints of orange and lemon. Nice carbonation. Should be poured out of bottle for true enjoyment, as with most hefs. spagyetti (68), Puyallup, Washington, USA

Slightly murky gold body with a 2-finger frothy white head that settles to a tenacious foamy film lacing the sides of the glass very noticeably. Aroma is grains, bread, floral, orange peel, innuendos of pineapple and banana, and yeast. Flavor is sweet malt and grains with notes of banana,, apricot, and a subtle hint of cloves. Nice, creamy mouth feel. Gorgeous!
