I used to have it custom ordered in via the BC Liquor Board custom order program, but now I finally convinced them to begin stocking it. Unfortunately we can only get the .33l bottles instead of the .51 (hey it’s better then nothing).
I find this hefe to be the perfect blend with just enough yeast to give it a smooth sweet flavor (just a bit less then Hacker Pschorr which I also love).
I’ve found the date and storage of this beer to be very important. As this beer gets older the flavor changes and the yeast become harder and harder to whip up from the bottom.
In short - drink it fresh! Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA

Hazy, golden straw, nice aroma, served with lemon wedge, great taste, citrus, clove, vanilla and slight yeast taste, esters, hint of root beer in finish. Just an excellent beer. Classic example of good hefeweizen. Incredible on tap and just as good in bottles fresh in Germany. NPRugby11 (83), New York, USA

Has all the hallmarks, including that lovely banana taste, the only downside is it’s not quite as smooth as other hefe’s I’ve tried, still a brilliant beer none the less. milwaukeebeer (22), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Lovely orangish tint. Lemony with a little yeast and orange on the back-end. Definately one of the best in the world. Delbomber (387), Philadelphia, USA

I stared at this for a moment after pouring it in the glass because it just looks so damn impressive; nice thick head and cloudy brown, translucent color (think apple cider with a golden hue). Apple-Banana pervades the flavor, yet the beer is not overly sweet. I always wondered how someone could become an alcoholic...well, now I know. I could drink this all day long, summer or winter. frieked99 (18), USA

It is soooo much better than the other hefeweizens to be had. This is definitely my favorite hefeweizen, and a strong contender for my favorite beer. adrenalin112 (57), west covina, California, USA
