Thick as well. I’ve had so many bad or average beers lately, this comes as a tonic so I may have overrated it. But it is good beer. jennythenipper (74), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

I have always like the ’Natural Wheat’ style best, when you get free wheat with the beer, but I think I actually liked the taste of Hacker-Schorr better because it had lest of a boozy aftertaste. This is one case where my sensibilities and my senses just didn’t meet up. But, it’s still a great wheat and one that I’ll continue to drink. zborgerd (185), Mchenry, Illinois, USA

Paulaner has a very complex taste of wheat, apple, banannas, citrus, and bread. It is thick and yeasty, but crisp. This is one of my favorites of the style. I’ve had other wheats, but I always come back to Paulaner. This one just mellows me out, with the right amount of alcohol. I could drink this one daily. FastEddie (183), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

This also has made me rather preferential to it. Milky, thick appearance, light pleasant aroma. Delicious nutty flavor which tells of the glory of wheat and the earth that gives it. I think this should always be the standard in wheat biers and I also think Franziskaner’s wheat bier is a diluted version of this. Rock On, Paulaner! Hugerat (432), somerville, Massachusetts, USA

Doesn’t have as strong a banana flavor as many other wheats, but very clean tasting. SJP (483), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Some level of carbonation present. Some aroma of clove and maybe a hint of banana. The tast has some hops and clove aspects. The finish is what sells me on this beer. I am not a big fan of this style, but look for these styles for the warmer months. This is what this type of beer should be like. Definiately worth checking out.
