The waitress made a special point to leave the yeast at the bottom of the bottle and then return a few minutes later after the head settled to finishing pouring the end of the beer plus yeast. Delicious, refreshing taste. I taste fresh grass in the brew with a hint of citrus. Highly recommended. Brianroz99 (123), Mullica Hill, New Jersey, USA

I went on a Weisse beer binge about six months ago, and this was one of the better ones I found, try it, you’ll like it. pastout (27), Windber, Pennsylvania, USA

Smooth mouthfeel with the taste of bananas and clove. adam99 (6), Iowa City, Iowa, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 2, 2002 The gold standard for Hefeweizen, when fresh. A word to the wise, age is not kind to this beer. I’ve had several bottles with a nasty aroma and a harsh straw tasting finish that had sat around too long. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA

On tap at McGoverns: Color is golden dark yellow and very cloudy, with lots of those wheat and yeast chunks flying around. Head was off-white and frothy with some divets and was about two fingers high from the tap. Impressively fresh looking.
Smells just as fresh, lots of fruityness and very sweet and tangy. Aroma is mostly lemony, and hints at banana, honey, clove, peach and orange. Super clean and fresh....oh boy, oh, boy, oh boy, I couldn't wait to drink it.
Ahh...thats better. This tastes amazingly fresh and fruity with just the right amount of malt balanced in so nothing is really overwhelming. But the taste is pretty fruity, kinda lemony/orangey with some vanilla and a nice robust malt backing. Man is it smooth with just the right amount of fruity tang hold. The feel is a lighter medium body with a slight pulpy thickness and has a very light lemony spiced dry finish. I could drink this anytime but it suits warmer weather
