I discovered you at age 22. 10 full years before my rate beer obsession. For most of those years you were my only thought when wheat beers came to mind. Sure now and then I would cheat. Would see some other wheaty behind your back. But baby, I always came back, and you have always been there for me. Rarely has a month gone by when you were not there by my side, though I must confess that months would sometimes pass between the times I would grab you and take you for my own. Sigh. I guess the glitter comes off all relationships at some point. I even remember 1995 when Jurgen the German exchange student came to live with us. He was so thrilled the first time he opened the fridge and saw you there. He claimed that he had you all the time when he was in Germany. I felt proud. I felt the love. And I knew you were my baby. And I trusted you baby - you never failed me. Now I know I have not been as attentive as I should be. And I have been indiscreet in leaving a cyber trail of wheaty romances on my Ratebeer stats list. Now baby, don’t be mad. Don’t go. Yeah sure I’ve been with Weihenstephaner, and ok yeah Ayinger too, but baby you still matter to me.Let me hold your 16.9 oz brown bottle once again. Enjoy the cloudy orange color as you slip into something more quaffable. The large orange head still brings a smile to my face. I can still smell your strong orange and wheat scent. It made my taste buds come alive with desire. Your taste, so full of orange and wheat. True, I am a dog. Yes I have other wheaties on my mind. But baby, what we have will always be special. eelgrassman (13), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

It’s quite bubbly, has a light mouthfeel, and has a fruity nose. Don’t let the fruity thing discourage you; it doesn’t have stupid flavoring like you see in ML/BL Lime beers or in Lienkugels (sp?). Great if you’re going to a semi-fancy event where there aren’t a lot of "serious" beer drinkers, even though they ought to appreciate it too. It shows that beer can have flavor without being too heavy or intense. Not exactly a beer for a night of hard drinking with the guys, but perfect for one or two on a warm afternoon with mixed company. slothgar (39), Wisconsin, USA

Cloudy, thin foam on top (From the tap) Smells and tastes a bit of citrus, lemon mostly, a bit of orange, slight grapefruit? Goes down rather well, little to no aftertaste. I can drink these all night. EricDanger (23), USA

It’s a true classic, that always taste great with a perfect balance of citrus, banana and wheat. Great summer beer. Codythegreat (146), Carrollton, Georgia, USA

It’s really good. The first time I had this was in Helen Georgia where they charged $7 a glass. It’s worth it though. It has a nice, cloudy, honey colour and a white head. Very good but the only wheat beer I think I’ve ever had so I need to try more so I can start comparing. Imported from Munich. I’m actually drinking it right now! I drank this out of a lager glass (similar in shape to a wheat beer glass) chrissy (122), Connecticut, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.2oz or 330ml bottle into a weizen glass.
Appearance: It has a cloudy appearance, lots of visible carbonation and a deep golden yellow color with a thick foamy white head. The head which builds up big and pillowy has very good retention and leaves lots of cool lacing on the glass.
Smell: The aroma has a deep malty wheat scent with hints of banana and a touch of spicy clove.
Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor has a refined and well balanced mix of tangy wheat and sweet malty grain with fruity/earthy yeast that has hints of banana and clove. Hop flavor is very mild, clean, somewhat lemony and most noticeable in the finish which is fairly dry. Its mouth feel is smooth and creamy with a medium body that is very drinkable.
Notes: Overall it’s extremely refreshing and flavorful. Very well done.
