Sep 14, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.2oz or 330ml bottle into a weizen glass.
Appearance: It has a cloudy appearance, lots of visible carbonation and a deep golden yellow color with a thick foamy white head. The head which builds up big and pillowy has very good retention and leaves lots of cool lacing on the glass.
Smell: The aroma has a deep malty wheat scent with hints of banana and a touch of spicy clove.
Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor has a refined and well balanced mix of tangy wheat and sweet malty grain with fruity/earthy yeast that has hints of banana and clove. Hop flavor is very mild, clean, somewhat lemony and most noticeable in the finish which is fairly dry. Its mouth feel is smooth and creamy with a medium body that is very drinkable.
Notes: Overall it’s extremely refreshing and flavorful. Very well done.

Oct 27, 2009 banana clove and bread on the nose. yellow cloudy pour with lots of white head. banana and clove and bread continue in the initial taste with a hint of banana and sweet clove on the finish.

Jul 14, 2008 Smells good when opened. Esters like grasslands near a stand of trees. Lots of malty, yeasty color... dense in cloudiness. Earthy, banana goodness. Went great with smoked meat! A hint of clove and spices. Delicious!

Sep 11, 2008 Updated: Dec 24, 2008One of my standard beers I drink at my local pub and normally have at home. Edges out both Franziskaner and Schneider-Weisse as the 2nd best German hefeweizen. More flavorful. Tons of banana-clove, bread, yeastiness and fruit. There is no better summer beer. Puts the embarassment that is American-style wheat beer to shame.
