Has all the hallmarks, including that lovely banana taste, the only downside is it’s not quite as smooth as other hefe’s I’ve tried, still a brilliant beer none the less.

I was expecting a little bannana for this style but didn’t find it here. Nice yeast aromas and flavor but wheat (malts) seemed a little light; normally full wheat beers seem heavier so I don’t drink too many in one setting. Golden haze color with full white head. Decent head retention. The citric flavors are a little strange on the palate but not too far off for style. Pretty good overall and worth a try. tpd975 (251), Riverview, Florida, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Pours luxurious hazy golden color with suggestion of brown. White, pillowy head is glorious to look at and certainly helps with aroma.
Nose has a banana lemon creme component, with seductive yeasty/bready notes that make you yearn for that first sip.
Palate has a good balance of the standard banana/clove interplay, with a pleasing wheat cracker taste. One of the best examples of this style.
Finish highlights the carbonation, wheat cracker again, and leaves a pleasant toasty bread-like taste on the palate. Amazing beer, world class. Davros (248), Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Cloudy greyish yellow pour with a small but persistent head.
Aroma shows doughy wheat, with some cloves, but little in the way of banana.
Flavours are similar, with sweet wheat and a hint of cloves. The finish is somewhat metallic.
Great high carbonation and medium full body. pkbites (340), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Pours a cloudy light orange. Smells like chemical banana flavoring. Tastes like bad banana juice with an old used band-aid floating in it. I just don’t care for this. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England
