JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 13, 2009 Draught Shining, if cloudy orange beer with fine pearling to good, irregular off-white head. Light sourish, fruity & yeasty, esters (for a bottom-fermented beer!). Very balanced flavours; sweet, sourish and bitterish, with always fruity notes. Clean, despite the esters. Nutmeg retronasal. Medium bodied, slick, but refreshing. Really EXCELLENT Kellerbier - more than worth the climb to the hilltop. Amazing Paulaner can turn out such superb sample, whilst their alter-ego Hacker-Pschorr excells in totally fade beers.
