| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2008 aroma is appetizing, kind of sweet with a hint of a gourd/pumpkin element, a bit of bitter coffee/chocolate after-taste, I was surprised tha I had not rated this brewery before now. afireinside96 (838), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Standard O-fest appearance, amber with an off-white head. lots of spicy hops in the nose, some biscuit and dough as well. Nicely balanced flavor, dough, noble hops, a touch of fruit. Better lasting head than most fest beers as well. Very well done. notalush (2675), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Pours a clear copper - the aroma is heavy with cara-munich sweetness, some floral hints, roasted nuts - fairly light and refreshing, with some toffee sweetness and lightly flowery hops - creamy mouthfeel, despite its light body - has that very distinctive paulaner flavor, which makes it taste like lighter version of salvator, which is a good thing in my book. johntreeter (122), Greenwood, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours an a clear amber copper color with thick almost white head that left some lacing. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts and a touch of yeast and alcohol. Well balanced flavor, the hops keeping the sweetness in check while still holding on to that malty marzen flavor. light to med body, mild carb, watery texture, and smooth feel. Great marzen the only drawback is it’s watery light nature ToadiusJ (8), USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2008 This time of year is a special one for fans of oktoberfest marzens. Rich malts thats mature during the fermentation from march-september make this beer very rich. Great body. finishes clean with a hint of yeast. Anyone can apreciate this beer from a very old brewery in munich. drink it up and enjoy oktoberfest. noncaloric (620), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a deep amber-brown with a couple fingers of white foamy head, which dissipates quickly. The beer sparkles enough to maintain a ring of foam. Aromas of yeast and caramel. First impressions on the tongue are a caramel-toffee flavor, with accompanying smooth mouthfeel. Next comes some apple cider and carbonated sparkles. Relatively short finish, twinge of bitterness at the end, the flavor of carbonation lasts the longest. jbuzz (661), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
