Taste is sweet fruits and a bit of malt. Short, lightly hopped finish and, while I like a malty Octoberfest, I would still like a bit more of a hops backbone to this. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2007 I really enjoyed this beer and I shared it as well. Nice deep amber color, had a nice sweet, spicy taste to it. Had nice head retention. I recommend drinking out of glass.....Not something I would drink all the time...I’ll probably actually drink it just during the Octoberfest season. Sticks73 (28), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Bottle. Oktoberfest Marzen. Poured to a nice dark amber bronze color. The head was medium and a ltight tan, that quickly disappeared. Little fizz, medium body, clear, light sryupy consistency. Lite aroma, from the looks I thought it would be stronger. Sweet cider smell. Very sweet tasting cider, honey, and pear. A bit malty as well. Short beginnig, quick middle, and short after taste but the sweetness lingered on too long. pericles35 (24), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2007 This was easily the best beer at Oktoberfest. Still slightly sweet like most of the Oktoberfest beers, but the finish was good. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Poured an amber color with a large head. Pretty smooth with a little bit of hops toward the end. Little better than average beer. timfoolery (484), California, USA

This brew is similar to lagers in my opinion. I’m much more partial to thicker Marzens and beers in general, so it didn’t impress. Good beer for casual drinking, but not one I would point out in a store. AmEricanbrew (1929), orange, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Pours a clear amber color with an off white head leaving a nice lace. Malty sweet red licorice smell with spicy hops. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Malty, grainy sweet taste with a sweet n’ spicy euro hop finish. A smooth, easy drinking brew. Probably much better fresh than it is in a bottle.oct 2001
