bottle - Pours amber with a medium sized head and a very malty aroma. As one would expect from the style, the flavor too is dominated by the rich malt. It’s medium bodied and finishes crisply with some slight bitterness.

Clear red. Fresh hop beer aroma. Very beery taste. Like a regular heavy americna brew. Wouldn’t get it again but it wasn’t bad.

Had this beer on 11/06/2002. Aroma is a sweet malt scent. Color is light amber/brown with light carbonation and thin head. Taste is malty with an imported taste. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth turning crisp. Finish is a mild malt flavor backed by a imported yeast taste.

I first had this on tap, which of course is much better than the bottle. It tastes just like horehound candy -- one of my favorites.

Pours a clear copper color with a decent sized white head. Nose is of sweet malts and earthy hops. Taste is mostly malts with a slight bitter finish. Some presence of grain as well. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied palate with a short finish that is drying.

A nice slightly off white head with a copper hue body. The smell is malty and floral. The taste is malty wheaty and slightly hoppy. The finish is nice, making you quench for more. Enjoyed this oktoberfest.

My favorite beer. I rated it higher than most people because I personally like it better than anything else I have tried thus far. Nice amber color with a light caramel head and nice lacing as it goes down. Malty and delicious!!
