A little disappointed with this because it’s a little watery, but ends up very nice with almost a creamy finish. They did this one well. pizzabeer (6), USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Nice thick white laced head that dissipated after a few sips but still forms a ring around the parimeter of the glass. Nice little bubbles of carbonation continue to rise through a very clear copper colored beer. First hit of aroma was very malty with a hint of German hops. Flavor is very smooth with a nice caramel malt backbone supported by a crisp hop bitterness. Overall a good beer that I would recommend. Doggythedog (1601), Split, Croatia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2007 0.5l can found at the InterSpar in Zagreb. Golden colour, medium sized fluffy white head that went away at a medium pace. A very nice malty nose, honey, some hops, weak hints of propolis. Soft mouthfeel, nice maltiness with notes of honey, which is balanced in the end by a soft hopiness that is somewhere between herbal and lemony in taste and somewhat ruined by some subdued egginess that pops up at the same time. It’s a good beer, but it sure didn’t rock my world. I guess that I have to look elsewhere for a Oktoberfest Bier that I really like. Hmm... the importer’s sticker lists wheat malt among the ingredients. A mistake most likely, but not as funny as the one the Bosnian importer made on Salvator - they translated everything correctly except the gravity, which they put as 11.5° (and the correct one was written 3 cm above that). | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Dark golden with a decent head. Sweet caramel notes with a slight hoppiness that comes out slightly bitter towards the finish. Good Marzen emerica56 (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2007 This beer pours a cloudy orange, but does not have a head to it. the aroma is very bland mainly earthy tones and very very mild hops. as you drink it the initial taste is earthy and mildly hoppy. There is a nice strong initial bite which i like. this beer is very simple yet still has a nice complexity to it. the palate is very bitter with nice hints of toffee and mild hops and earhty tones. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Pours a clear light bronzed orange colour with a fizzy off-white head that leaves decent lacing and fades to a cap. The aroma is of sweet, bready/dusty malts and earthy hops with a touch of honey. The flavour is light earhty hops and malts and some lemon grass with a very mild bitter, dry finish that has notes of corn and grain. It has a soft, medium-bodied palate with a short finish that is drying. Grainy flavours are persistent from first impression to the finish. Very drinkable but not outstanding. It is effective in its purpose. AMN (127), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA
