| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2007 Poured a golden amber with a head that dissipated quickly. Pretty smooth and drinkable, but not my preferred style of beer. I would much rather drink their Hefeweizen which is excellent. It kind of grows on you as you drink it, however. No real strong characteristic. talon1117 (628), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Pours a golden amber color with clarity and a faily small, off-white, fizzy head which disappates fairly quickly. Nose is simple with rich caramels and sweet breads with just a touch of almonds. Flavor is very similar; rich caramels, light almonds, toasty bread, and a light but balancing noble hop background. Palate is medium-light, lively, and fairly crisp. Finishes still mostly sweet with and average length. Pretty decent Ofest; simple, rich, crisp. cyanescens (156), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2007 This beer was nine months since I purchased it. Its a rich beer, more flavor than I’d expected but nothing too out there. I wish I could try this brew fresh.
Earth tones, light carbonation, medium body, pale amber in color, rich head quickly diminishing. bhensonb (4362), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Aroma of sweet, roasted malt; backed by a bit of citrus hop (small bit). The vigorous white head dissipated quickly. Very nice amber color. Decent mouthfeel. Starts with a bit of caramel, followed by earthy, roasty tones. The hop is present, but it is playing second fiddle. It’s a bit sweet on into the finish, and the hop does not quite balance this. Interesting, though. Demonstrates how an ale can surpass a lager in a classic style (at least the bottle says ale, and the excellent aromas and flavors support that). Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2007 beer festival. golden body, solid imposing white head. smells very earthy, of dirt and vegetables and hay. tastes of sweet malts, wheat, yeast finish is acidic and hoppy. its pretty good. but not great for the style. jalichio999 (502), Brazil
