Sweet, caramel, slightly bitter finish, blah blah blah. You can read the same description on the next 5 posts. Generic Marzen. This just doesn’t have enough oomh. Try one, but don’t bother with a six-er.

12oz bottle. Pours an amber/copper color with a white head that doesn’t stick around. Clear. Aroma shows sweet malts, honey, slight iced tea, barley. Taste is sweet, rich and malty, slightly light bodied with a dry finish. Does not stick out amongst its style and I’m a fan of the brewery.

6-pack from Hop City in Atlanta. First time I have seen this in Atlanta. Nice dark copper/brown color. Nice fluffy head that eventually fades away. An average look for a marzen lager. Fairly transparent. That caramel malt is very pungent. Not a heavily hopped from what I smell, but there is a slight hop aroma; still a fairly pungent beer, but not very nuanced. Malty beer that doesn’t add up. The beer is very light in terms of a marzen lager. I was expecting a creamier palate, and a thicker beer. Caramel malt flavor is there, but not very nuanced. A slight biscuit and hop flavor towards the end. Not a very memorable beer for me. Glad to have tried.

Bottle. Pours golden with a huge frothy off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel,. Taste is much the same, but richer on the palate, hops presence at the end.

Pours light amber with a medium sized dense and moderately lasting white head. Light maltiness with fresh hops in aroma. Clean maltiness with refreshing hops in flavor and a long lasting not so bitter aftertaste.

1 liter can poured into a giant dimpled mug that came with it as a promotion. Clear golden with huge creamy white head. Aroma is caramel, biscuits and slight plastic. Flavor is caramel and some spice. Medium carbonation. Finish is lightly bitter.
