Bottle. Reddish bronze color with a small, off white head. Nutty sweet malt aroma. Taste is sweet fruits and a bit of malt. Short, lightly hopped finish and, while I like a malty Octoberfest, I would still like a bit more of a hops backbone to this.

Oct 10, 2008 On tap at Delaney’s in New Haven. Light Caramel aroma. Clear orange color with a small white head. Malt beginning with a candy corn finish. Great Oktoberfest!

Oct 9, 2008 Amber with an off white head. Nose and flavor are sweet malty and a bit of grain. A little oxidized cardboard. Medium body and mellow finish.

Oct 9, 2008 very spicy aroma, sweet malty flavor, dark amber appearance. graininess in the flavor that i didn’t care for. surprisingly i prefer the sam adams octoberfest.
