Oct 22, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown with a tint of red. Tall - but collapsing - beige head. Extremely "dark" flavours of roasted malt with notes of both caramel and dark chocolate. Appears almost like a less potent Doppelbock. A very accessible and pleasant beer without much bitterness. 251002

Oct 2, 2005 (Stockholm Beer Festival 2005) Dark golden, nice brownish head. Malty vanilla aroma. A bit boring flavor, but a quite nice bitterness shows in the finish.

Aug 31, 2005 Bottle: Deep amber coloured, big fluffy brownish head; aroma: coffee, vinous, roasted malts, traces of dried plums; slightly sweetish beginning, but hoppiness comes through in the finally dry taste; bitter-sweet finish; lacks a bit a fuller body, but all in all O.K., nothing more....

Aug 26, 2005 another great beer from Paulaner, very malty and fruity aroma, a bit herbal. Taste is smooth, a bit malty, some hints of fruits and caramel, nice crispy and nutty finish... good stuff!!

Jun 24, 2005 Munich - This was a tasty beer, nice dark brown color with off white head. Malty smell then the flavor kicks up with a subtle dark wheat taste.

Jun 14, 2005 (bottle) Clear dark brown colour with a medium tanned foamy head. Toasted malts aroma with caramel. Light sweet flavour, medium body. Roastmalty taste with notes of caramel and raisins and a dry but shy bitter finish. Average but also enjoyable.
