Clear, light golden body with a frothy, white diminishing head. The light aroma presents some toasted grain and a hint of hop. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The fnish remains lightly bitter with a slight canned corn taste. Medium body with a watery texture, though there’s a stickiness in the finish. The carbonation is lively. morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2008 As the wife said to me tonight when she brought these back to the hotel room - "I figure we heven’t been through enough Hell today, so why not drink some?" Pours a bright and clear golden yellow with a slight whispy white cap, minimal lacing. Aroma is shortbread cookie and gentle hops. Flavor has a pleasing cookie/biscuit malt and citrusy, slightly lemony, hops. Light, refreshing and easily quaffable. Not bad, of course, because its not a Russian beer... | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 15, 2008 This is a wonderful, full-bodied, well-rounded lager. It is bright, clear, deep gold with a big white head that slowly shrinks to a smaller lasting head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is wonderful - strong, lightly toasted bread, crackers, grain, hints of honey, pine, and citrus. The taste is similar and also full-bodied, with a lot of toasted grain and bread, hints of hney and pine, but more citrus, especially lemon. It has a nice full sweetness balanced by a pleasant light bitterness that persists through to the end, with a bready finish balanced with hops. It is a bit oily, very smooth, and incredible drinkable, with nice subtly complex flavours that persist. travita (1952), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 13, 2008 light malty smell. like an american lager without any adjuncts. taste was a little skunky on the first sip but opened up a light honey banana taste. refreshing and smooth. not much of a big deal tho. I’d probably buy the pilsner instead, but they were on sale and this was the only one I hadn’t tried yet. all and all a pretty nice brand of beer. a lot cleaner tasting than some of the other imports. I would like to try a fresher one of these... this bottle was born over a year ago AmEricanbrew (1929), orange, California, USA
