Aroma is quite powerful with lots of sweet malts and a lemony hoppyness. The flavour expands on the lemony note. Begins quite sweet, but turns towards a quite citric bitter finish. An acceptable thirst-quencher. Rune (2850), Tromsø, Norway
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Sampled with Finn from a 500ml bottle at Viktualienmarkt, München. Golden body with good white head retention. Flavour of hoppy fruits and ripe grapfruits, but not particular refreshing. Dry ending. Thin bodied and a bit overcarbonated (18.06.2007). gsmitty80 (653), Washington DC, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Subtle bready notes in the nose. Pours a sparkling clear straw. The mostly lasting white creamy head is super sticky & stiff like meringue, and leaves behind light lace. The flavor is typical of a lager; well balanced but non-descript. Light acidity leads to a grainy finish. The light & creamy body is soft. To be enjoyed with food. Labelling this a Dort/Helles is a stretch IMO, this brews profile fits much more comfortably in the Lager category. yalnikim (782), Wellington, New Zealand
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Tasted 22/06/2007. 500ml bottle from Regional Wines and Spirits. Slow cooked on the way out to NZ. The nose was all cardboard, boiled sweets and veges. In the mouth it was fizzy, lightweight, watery and stale. Unfortunate but a beer this subtle is never going to make much of a traveller. BeerloverEJ21 (131), Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 24, 2007 I didn’t much care for the aroma of this one. On the pour, small head, transparent color. Unpleasant small. First taste is a little on the skunky side. I don’t know if I got an old bottle or not, but it sure tasted skunked. It still had an obvious Paulaner taste, but pales in comparison to the quality of the heffe. Dedollewaitor (3764), Odense, Denmark
