Bottle. Light-gold in color, with a fluffy white head that seems to dissapate quickly. Malty, light-bodied beer. I like German lagers and this is a pretty good one. A very good summer beer because it is not too heavy. Yet, it has way more flavor than American mega-brews. Nothing outstanding, just a good German lager.

Good helles. Nice sweet malt flavor with a touch of spice. Well carbonated, refreshing...

I like this lager. A nice sweetness with a touch of spice. A distinctive aroma for a lager - at least it is there - unlike most other lagers.

Pours clear golden with no head. Mild carbonation. Mild grassy aroma. Flavor is fairly malty, more than I was expecting from this light beer. Light bitterness. Metallic aftertaste. OK.

The one I had at the Seehaus in Munich was memorable not because of the beer but the beautiful location and the great meal we had. Also had this in a can late at night in the main Munich subway station and not so memorable. Page 354 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 298 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass, golden with a medium white head. Aroma was very faint with a touch of malt and grain. The taste was like a lightly malted mineral water. Not really to my taste, but not offensive in any way.
