Light bready aroma. Suffers a bit from being served really cold. Bright carbonation, malty warmth, just a touch of earthy hops in the finish. Light and refreshing palate, without being unsubstantial. Overall good, but a bit muted. Just a very small flavor impact. scotty (834), Scotland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2007 500ml bottle from Tesco. Pale straw with a fine thick white head, a steady bead and it leaves a good lace too! Average nose of malt’n’hops. It’s quite smooth and slghtly sweet, with a medium body. Good,if a tad on the uninspired side. asedzie (457), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2006 0.5 L Bottle. Medium-sized lasting creamy head. Nice amber color. Smell is light maltiness. I had it at a temperature that was just a bit colder than lukewarm, which I think made many different flavors come through. Quite a sharp, spicy bite of hops for a lager, perfectly balanced by a doughy, mild malt flavor. Very good representation of the style. raymondwave (882), Finland
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2006 Easy drinking lager. Little bit of a buttery nose and taste. Quite good, yet nothing very rememberable. I maybe like this better than the pils-type german beers. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England

Fairly standard Helles with soft bready malt and light grassy hops on the nose. Much the same in the flavour, with just a little bitter hop bite. Smooth and easy drinking. Noticeably fresher and cleaner than the Hacker-Pschorr Helles sampled just before.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2006 I smuggled a .5L from Germany. Bright golden yellow color. Very thin white head. Smells like a can of corn nibblets. Tastes like malt and a smooth hop finish. Not my favorite Münchner Hell, but still reminiscent. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours light yellow with a small but tight white head. The aroma is sweet, almost like brown sugar, and grass. The flavor is lots of grass with some sweet tones and even a bit of tea. It’s ok, but definitely not my thing.
