Yeasty nose with some buscuit. Very good with a sausage and kraut meal. Bready malts with subtle citrus flavors. Tastes like most imported European lagers. Best with food. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 17, 2006 Bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into lager glass - Pours gold with a 2 finger off white head and very lively carbonation; Malt, hops, light caramel and something I simply can’t distinguish to the nose; Malt, bread, very light hops, some spice on the initial taste; Bready, lightly spicey backtaste; Good carbonation that doesn’t get in the way, medium-full palate; Bottle is labeled Original Munich, obviously the English translation. Overall, not too shabby. I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. Drinkable. Doesn’t assault you with flavor, just kind of refreshes you. Nice when you’re just looking for a decent beer to quench your thirst. Price to quality ratio is a bit lopsided in my region though. Not the best from Paulaner, but definitely nothing to pitch down the drain! WSSmiles (124), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 14, 2006 This beer was very disappointing especially in its price range. It poured and had a watery appearence which was consistent with its taste. Head looked very carbonated. Not a good one. The Miller light draft I had earlier in the night at b dub’s was much better than this. Gethinbeer (1003), Nova Scotia, Canada
