Feb 1, 2006 Excellent Lager. This is the way they should all be done. Great yellow colour, and nice head. Every Paulaner I’ve had has been great. (All 5of them)

Jan 25, 2006 Bottle, produced April ’05 at 40f. Poured with fine white head leaving some lace. Fine light golden straw color. Aroma of bready malts and light noble hops. Flavor of bready malt as indicated by aroma. Nice and crisp mouthfeel. A fine German lager and one I would purchase again.

Jan 16, 2006 What a beautiful beer! Honey colored with plenty of foam it was a delight to view. First taste was just a bit on the bitter side but that faded. It showed a nice balance that got even better as the glass emptied. It drank like a macro in that it had a very professional feel to it. It is one that I would purchase again.

Jan 8, 2006 NOt really interesting, like a lager or Pilsener, but with that characteristic flavor from GErman beers, with some quallity. It was pale but not clear.

Jan 5, 2006 12z bottle, produced on date was 08.05, whatever that means. Clear golden hue with a finger of quickly dissipating head. Straw, grass, apples and grapefruit in the nose. Bready malty nose as well. Light and crisp in the mouth with a definite bready maltiness as was detected in the aroma. Sweet malt flavor with a dry hop effervescence. Still some fruity, citrus hop notes. Oily and gummy. But I still like it quite a bit for everyday light drinking.

Jan 3, 2006 Can from the chilean CCU licensed version (4,6% alcohol): Generic clear golden lager color with an almost inexistent head. Aroma is malty with some hoppy presence, pretty good. Flavor is nothing special with a bittersweet start and a slightly bitter finish with some acid hints in the aftertaste. Oily texture. Not really a great one, maybe the original German is better.

Dec 17, 2005 This stuff looked like piss and smelled horrible. I don’t know if I had a bad bottle but the head clung together in chunks like it was old or moldy. The beer had a sour taste to it. I wasn’t very impressed with this stuff and I don’t think I’ll be going out of my way to try more Paulaner brews.
