Canned - Pours light golden and effervescent with a thin foamy white head head. Aroma is bready lager yeast with light cracker maltiness and just a hint of herbal Hallertau. Taste is lightly malty and easy to drink. Not a whole lot of a distractions. Very clean fermentation, no flaws. Mouthfeel is somewhere between thin and medium bodied and lively carbonation. Considering that this brew has no adjuncts, it seems heavy when compared to most industrial lagers. Paulaner is traditional quality, and their beers are well-crafted. Their beers set, but rarely exceed the standards of quality within their style.

Canned in Germany - Pours light golden and clear with a thin, mostly receding white head. Aroma of chewy malt, corn, and bready adjuncts. Taste is lightly sweet, with notes of bready malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet, chewy, malty, and unclean.

I like these German lager offerings. Nice, warm, fairly but not overly bitter taste, well balanced all around. All the same, after growing accustomed to the fine US west coast ales, its quite apparent that time has passed the Europeans by. Fine for nostalgia’s sake, otherwise stick to the US stalwarts.

Pours out a light gold pour with minimal bubbly head. Aroma is weak, with minimal hop and malts, some grass. Flavor doesnt do much, crisp, grassy minimal hop still there. Mediocre is being nice.

Poured clear gold with a generous foamy head. Typical lager aroma of indescriminate malt and hops. Some bitterness, but generally at an inert balance. Pretty thin, although a nice carbonation level gives it a bit of zing. Seems like a pretty good sessional beer as it’s not really bad, just not very interesting.

Clean, sweet, lightly malty aroma with herbal and lightly spicy hops apparent. Clear golden body is topped by a decent, fine-bubbled white head that recedes to a lasting cover. Somewhat sweet, malty flavour with moderate bitterness and lightly spicy, grassy hop character. Crisp, pointy carbonation to the medium-light , very dry body. Bitterness seems perhaps a bit strong for the style.Lager glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle (Produced On 0605, Liquor Mart, Oct-05).

I didnt even realise that paulaner did non-wheat beers. Aroma is lagerish but soem small hints of sweetness in there. Taste is similar though not sure whats actually going on in here soemtimes i get some fruityness and other sips give me nothing.

Golden with a very slight rusty hue. No head, except for tiny lace. Decent nose with hints of honey. Slight alcohol taste that becomes a little maltier as it warms. Kind of a nice faint, floral after taste. Little on the boring side though guess.
