This is a well mannered lager that sits well on the palate. Head is thin white and dissipates quickly. This is a very inoffensive beer that can be quite enjoyable after a long day of work.

A guzzler. Very refreshing on a hot summer day if you want real beer, not fizzy beer flavored water. Great for style, perhaps a guilty pleasure?

Clear golden, large white head. A little bready, malty, and with some leafy hops. Crisp and refreshing, lighter bodied. Pretty nice.

A very hearty and satisfying brew. The only thing missing is the Oompa band and the hot German chics in short skirts.

Bottle. Crystal clear yellow beer with a thin white head. Persistent ring wit minimal lacing. Grainy sweet aroma with a noticeable grassiness. Tastes lightly bready sweet with a light and spritzy mouthfeel that finishes dry and slightly spicy. I think subtle is the key word here, not too much to think about. Clean, light, and refreshing. Goes down with a quickness.

Bottled:
Malty, light grainy nose. Golden color, foamy head. Grainy malt flavor, straw, few hops. Weak and boring.

Draught, Paulaner Beer Garden, Bangkok

Clear golden with thin head. Aroma of buttery biscuits, earthy hops. Clean palate with slightly crisp hops backing up simple bready pale malts. Finish is moderate in both length and sweetness.

Bottle. Wheat malt aroma - a bit of corn as well. Yellow color with moderate head. Light malt flavor - nothing distinctive with good carbonation. Paulaner makes good, reliable beers - this isn’t spectacular but is very nice. One of the better German lagers.
