gws57 (951), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2008 Had this one bottled in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, thanks Slothgar! An outstanding dopplebock, probably the best I’ve ever had. Dark orange pour with a bubbly white head, sweet, molassasy nose, very clean taste, sweet and uncomplicated, raisin, apple and allspice. Strong finish yet very highly drinkable. Outstanding.

Aroma was dried fruit. Taste was dark fruit and very slightly floral. Very nice. Big points for the silky smooth palate. A good one. mugabe (169), Sweden Jul 10, 2008 Bottle. Dark ruby, dissipating head. Sweet aroma of burnt sugar and caramel malts. Sweet spicy flavour of dark fruits and dark sugar with a distinct alcohol sting. Very nice cookie dough finish. Like a less refined Belgian, but great value for money. bager (1900), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 10, 2008 On tap @ Ølbaren. Clear and deep amber coloured with a medium sized wihte head. Ok balanced - a bit to the sweet side - notes of bread, caramel, metal and hops.
