Had this one bottled in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, thanks Slothgar! An outstanding dopplebock, probably the best I’ve ever had. Dark orange pour with a bubbly white head, sweet, molassasy nose, very clean taste, sweet and uncomplicated, raisin, apple and allspice. Strong finish yet very highly drinkable. Outstanding.

Jul 11, 2008 12 ounce bottle- poured a rich amber-gold with a fair, but short-lived head. Aroma was dried fruit. Taste was dark fruit and very slightly floral. Very nice. Big points for the silky smooth palate. A good one.

Jul 10, 2008 Bottle. Dark ruby, dissipating head. Sweet aroma of burnt sugar and caramel malts. Sweet spicy flavour of dark fruits and dark sugar with a distinct alcohol sting. Very nice cookie dough finish. Like a less refined Belgian, but great value for money.

Jul 10, 2008 On tap @ Ølbaren. Clear and deep amber coloured with a medium sized wihte head. Ok balanced - a bit to the sweet side - notes of bread, caramel, metal and hops.
