Dark red-brownish. Head disappears quickly leaving some residues on the glass. Aroma is quite sour with some sweetness and notes of syrup and slightly burnt raisins. Taste is dominated by dust and grain, with some small acidity that disappears quickly. Rather dull.

[9/8/08] Bottle at my hostel in Brussels. Dark brown color with a disappearing medium beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and some fruitiness - smells more like a Dunkel. Sweetish malty flavor with caramelly sugariness, nutty hints, fruit notes (some sugar-coated plums mostly) and very light sourish woody notes. Slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. OK but not very Oud Bruin-like.

Deep amber with red glimts and tiny off white glimts. Aroma was sweet and had roasted malt, berries and mild sourness. Flavour was initially sweet but came out sourish. Found roasted malt and berries as well.

(25cl bottle, BB 02/10) Pours a brown body with a medium beige head and descent spider-web lacing. Aroma of brown sugar, roasted malt, caramel, raisins, and bread. Flavor of light cocoa, raisins, brown sugar, wet wood, and toasted biscotti.

Clear brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel, with hints of cherry and licorice. Dry caramel flavour with just a slight hint of tartness. Spicy toffee and anise finish.

25cl bottle @ Biertempel, Brussels. Pours dark brown with a reddish hew and a small white head. Earth, dry, sour, cherries. Quite simple and plain - but tasty.

It is beautiful, dark red-brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma is sour with notes of berries and syrup. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of syrup, roasted malt, candy sugar, berries and a light sourness. It is surprisingly sweet, a disappointment, because I expected a nice sour.
