| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Initial good yellow-brown head, very fast gone; clear red-brown beer, with cola-like carbonation. Wood, bread, lactic acid, parsley, woodstainer, fruity aromas. Again very dry woody taste, tannines obvious, lactic acid, but in the taste, there’s definitely some sweetness underneath. Without the tartness from the wood, one could call it fruity, now it’s more like some wild fruit that is not quite considerable for consumption. Vinous, but not overly so. Retronasal some more fruity notes (fresh prunes), but also liquorice. Quite dry, but despite the acids and the dryness, even dry-out effect, there’s a certain slickness. Medium bodied. Another Rodenbach look-alike. Far from bad but there are some lackadaisicalities . Ungstrup (15376), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Oct 12, 2005 A light amber beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet dusty, while the flavor is sweet and with primary notes of straw. It is missing acidity for the style - it seems a bit old. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 27, 2005 Bottled, 1 year past it’s best before. Aroma of port, wine, prune and raisin. So already a cellared beer aroma. Redbrown color, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, dried fruits, light fruity sourness, light bitter, nutty but not the cellared flavors you’d expect after smelling the beer. Little sticky, little sugary. Both I don’t like in a flemish sour ale. So give it a little oak and sourness and less sweet, then it could be great. Now it’s just average. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Dark amber coloured with a red glow and a small off-white head. Slight acidic nose but overall very malt accentuated - some roasted malt - with a small lingering tartness. This is much softer and sweeter than what I usually associate witrh a Flemish sour. Closer to an Abbey Dubbel actually, although without the body, without the power. But a very nice beer indeed. 200299 omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 15, 2005 Bottled. Dark amber. Vingegary nose. Flowery and yeasty with clean mouthfeel and light body. Pleasant up front, but the flavour is short, and the finish non-existant.
