Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 15, 2009 This is fucking horrible. I have not had a beer that claimed to be "Dry" in over10 years - back to Molson Special Dry - every single time without exception that shit gave me such a wicked headache and hangover I swore the entire line off. Now, here I am with this garbage...first sip - straight to the head. I HATE DRY BEERS! Smell sucks, Taste sucks. THIS BEER SUCKS! I HATE IT. PURE SHIT. IF YOU ARE THIS POOR THAT YOU CAN ONLY AFFORD THIS BEER THEN I HOPE YOU DIE A PAINLESS DEATH. cheapactuary (9), Alberta, Canada does not count Apr 28, 2007 Not much taste in this. I have PC pilsner and dry side by side. Strong carbonation finish. This tastes like what dry beer should be. Some taste of corn and hops. Cartoonkhaki (1149), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Feb 20, 2007 Pale yellow with white puffy head that goes quick. Sound like a familiar story? Like all the other PC beers there is this underlying adjunct ridden flavour. Similar to the draft just 0.5% more alc. Light skunk in the aroma. Finish is slightly watery with lots of carbonation. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 10, 2007 Gold appearance. The mild aroma leans heavier on the sweet end of the scale thanks to an alcohol presence, with some malt and cardboard in there as well. Palate and flavour feature a ginger-ale-like beginning with a fizzy mouthfeel before moving on to a vaguely bitter finish that struggles against an overall medicinal quality. Aftertaste is quite fleeting. Below average, not exactly a dry, but meets expectations for a bargain beer. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Sep 21, 2006 355ml can. Pale yellow with a small ring of white head. Corny aroma. Slight malt flavour, a little sweetness, minerally finish. Fizzy. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2006 Bottle @ TFOB 2006. Yellow body with a small white head. Dry alcoholic aroma, grainy white wine hints, light corn/vegetal notes. Sweet macro grains linger in the aftertaste. Average to thin palate. MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2006 Thanks Dad! Bottle sample- Pours pale yellow with a fizzy white head, with no life. No lace. Aromas of metal and obvious adjunct. Some hops and bread are present. Slightly bitter, mild malt sweetness with paper and corn. Nothing "dry" about it really. Another PC gem for sure. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada May 30, 2006 341ml Bottle, 5.5% a/v
My first PC beer, they make grocerys well enough, lets see how the make beers.
Standard pale lager apperance, slightly more carbonated then most micro’s yet not as bubbly as macro’s. Smells malty with a bit of a citrus note. Taste consisting of mainly malt and also the citrus noted in the smell. Goes down smooth but has a lingering aftertaste. Not really a "dry" beer in my opinion. Still tasty, but just another average beer in the long run.
