Hand pump at Beervna 2008: Pours a deep reddy orange, no head by the time I got back. Strong nose of vanilla, spices, citrus, herb. On tasting; the herbs, spice, malt, hops on a base of vanilla throughout. Very complex and unique, still taste the hops like an IPA but has some wheat beer character to it as well.

Cloudy amber with tiny off white short lasting head. Sweet aroma with caramel, hoppy and piney notes. Sweet flavour with dusty hops, caramel and citric notes. Ends bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Mild hoppy and towards fruity aroma. Flavour is bitter and slight bitter with a mild fruity note. Bitter and dry finish with a mild fruity and towards a lasting herbal note.

Bottle, 6.5%. Weak vinous fruit aroma. Muddy chestnut colour. Fruity flavour with a rough hoppiness, not entirely unpleasant.

Looks ok in the glass but the main problem with this is the overriding phenolics in the flavour, has a slight smokeyness that gives it two points but is a real dissapointment
