| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a mostly clear gold with a moderate linen white head. Pleasant aroma of fresh grapefruit and just a hint of malt. The flavor is mild malt up front followed by a solid dose of grapefruit and some light pine. Medium bitterness at the finish, and there is a lingering mild bitterness that settles in the back of the throat for about thirty seconds. A nice solid IPA and probably my favorite from the Peak Organic lineup. Cletus (5055), Connecticut, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2009 3oz sample pour @ Roger park liquors. Ice cold treat. Pured an amber with a medium head. Aroma of light hoppy, not as freash hops. Could have been fruitier and fresher, but missed on the flavors. Finish was weak, not much going on, aftertaste is disappointing. Would pass. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Oranges and resins peek through butterscotch allusions for a simple but drinkable India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the clear orange.
-I didn’t think Amarillo and Simcoe could be used to such a boring effect.
-Is the butterscotch a result of the malts, or is Ringwood yeast used?
-There are barely a few hops in the nose, but the resinous bitterness is frank enough to be enjoyable.
-The malts are extremely linear.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a medium sized white head that lingered. The aroma was sour, nutty and fruity with undertones of soap and bubblegum. The flavor was tart, tangy, sugary and fruity with notes of Pez candies, soap and bubblegum. The finish was dry and tart Pez. Disappointing. jstraw (766), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Amber-gold with good, foamy white head / Nose of fresh pine and weed / Medium body, somewhat chewy, very dry throughout becoming bitter on the finish / Flavors of cut pine with burnt sugar and grapefruit notes / A bit out of balance but a good effort. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2009 12oz Bottle: Pours a transparent bright orange amber with a spotty-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of fresh floral grapefruity citrus hops and some sweet pale malt. Body starts with good fullness, a nice sweet toasty caramel flavor and lots of fresh, juicy citrusy bittering and flavor hops. Finishes crisp, bittersweet and true to style. A very enjoyable IPA and probably one of the best "organic" beers I’ve had.
