| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle… Clear golden ale with a large, billowing, white head. Great retention. Herbal spicy aroma – a bit odd, actually. Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor delivers a kiss of caramel and then medium to heavy bitterness kicks in. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. CaptainCougar (5523), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2009 12oz Bottle: Pours a transparent bright orange amber with a spotty-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of fresh floral grapefruity citrus hops and some sweet pale malt. Body starts with good fullness, a nice sweet toasty caramel flavor and lots of fresh, juicy citrusy bittering and flavor hops. Finishes crisp, bittersweet and true to style. A very enjoyable IPA and probably one of the best "organic" beers I’ve had. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Oranges and resins peek through butterscotch allusions for a simple but drinkable India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the clear orange.
-I didn’t think Amarillo and Simcoe could be used to such a boring effect.
-Is the butterscotch a result of the malts, or is Ringwood yeast used?
-There are barely a few hops in the nose, but the resinous bitterness is frank enough to be enjoyable.
-The malts are extremely linear.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber orange body with a white foam 2 finger head. Aroma is weak with some grass y and pine y notes and a big caramel character that is almost expressed like a vinegar character. Unfortunately that some character dominates the flavor out shining the deeper hop character of grapefruit and strong bitter earthy hop resins. I’ve always felt pre disposed to discrediting any beer stressing organic character and this is no exception. A bloody mess if you ask me. I think i over rated this. 2.3
