Draft at Tastings wine bar in downtown Orlando. Pours a clear brassy brown color with a reddish tint. A small, foamy, cream colored head settles to a thin film quickly, leaving minimal spotting on the glass. The nose shows toasted caramel malt, biscuit, and some hints of hazelnut. There might be a trace of vanilla in there as well. Flavors follow suit, sweet and toasty caramel accompanied by roasted nuts and grain. The mouthfeel is weak and watery, lacking substance. It’s a drinkable brew, but is mostly forgettable.

Bottle, 6 fl. oz. Pours a nutbrown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is caramel, and the flavor follows the nose. The palate leaves bitterness (grapefruit?). Overall this beer is more like an amber ale.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a very deep brown with a small, very light tan, creamy head. Nose is malty with notes of caramel, nuts, earth, and a touch of molasses. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. The nut and caramel notes dominate the palate. A mild burnt note is there along with some grass. Good hop balance. Good body with a little chewiness to it. Lasting finish with the nut and caramel notes lingering. A very enjoyable organic.

Not really bad. It has a strong bite in the middle... not pleasant. Initially really good... very nutty. Finish is weak. But the middle is what is the killer. I’d pass on this one probably agian. But I did drink out of a bottle... so afraid that may have impacted rating.

Ft. Myers, Fl. - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper color with a slight off-white head that leaves a hint of lacing. Nice toffee aroma with hints of chocolate. Flavor has a definite nuttiness to it with some chocolate notes, a hint of baker’s chocolate and just a hint of caramel. Fades in the finish a little bit though turning a tad metallic. Mouthfeel is decently thick. Not bad for an organic.

Shared with Steve at IBG. Not that great. Color was there but the flavor was not that appetizing. A little bland and boring on the finish. Pass on this one.

The aroma is toasted with some chocolate, nuts, malt, and vinegar. The appearance is medium red brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma and not to my liking. The palate is smooth but the finish is acidic and astringent. It is like sucking on a bar of soap. Overall it’s not even average.
