Draught @ Great Lost Bear. Amber, clear, some head and lacing. Diacetyl, graham cracker nose. More hops in the flavor but sweetness remains. Soft mouthfeel. Sessionable, and more balanced than it seems at first.

A lot less bitter than most ales I tried, and seems to have pleasant wheat taste. Head is unbelievably fluffy!

Average pale ale. It doesn’t stand up to the most notable American pale ales out there. Nothing jumps out as prominent in any way but drinkable.

Again, Shipyard not a favorite and American Pale not a favorite ... but this is different from my expectations. More of a dark amber. Citrus and sweet fruit in the nose. Clear dark amber, small head. Taste of amber malts, caramel, sweet fruit, and a hoppy finish, with lingering sweet fruit as well. Apples? Peaches? Of course not ... but not just caramel either. Not unpleasant but not something that I would seek out again.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a pretty big, fluffy head. Aromas are caramel and apple juice with a touch of grass. Flavor has a funky mix of toffee (didn’t see that coming) and crisp citrus hops. Comes off as fairly bitter and nciely refreshing.

Tasted 5/13/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Clinging off-white head. Caramel bready aromas. Touch orange and grassy hops. Medium bodied and nutty. Tangy and tart. Dry rye bitterness. Solid pale ale style. Caramel and slight fudgy note. Woody earthy hops. Good balance and palate.

Caramlly orange color with creamy ivory he3ad, mild lacing. Lemony citrus hop aroma. Flavor is mildly bitter, citrussy, medium graininess throws it off a bit. Finishes somewhat plasticy for me.

Aroma was very malty/grainy with some sweet fruity notes. Deep orange in color. Nice smooth wheat flavor in the start and some hop bitterness comes through in the finish of this medium bodied pale ale. Like Peak’s other’s, surprisingly good, but not the best.
