| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 15, 2008 I remain unimpressed with the organically-produced beers I’ve rated. This "pale ale" was more reminiscent of a witbier to me than a hoppy-styled beer.
This beer poured a slightly hazy orange color, with a Sprite-like head that faded to a puffy cloud-like head after a few minutes. Aroma was really strange for a pale ale - I got a lot of coriander and (not very pale ale-like) citrus-ness. In other words, its aroma was very much like a witbier rather than a pale ale. Flavor was similarly confusing - a bit hoppy but with some other witbier - like flavors. Mouthfeel was unremarkable.
I can’t say I’d recommend this beer. I bought it as a single-serve bottle at Woodman’s in Oak Creek, WI. Snojerk321 (2027), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Bottle - Poured a dark golden amber in color with a slightly foamy white head. Some nice lacing. Aroma is a nicely balanced mix of malts and floral hops. Flavor is medium hoppy with a mild amount of bitterness. A just OK pale ale, but easy drinking... esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Semi-cloudy light orange with thin off-white head. Citrus, grapefruit and caramel aroma. Medium palate, kind of light on the hops for a pale ale, though it did leave a long bitter finish. Pretty bland too, but hey it’s organic so you pay more and get less. keepersj12 (822), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Pretty average beer. Mostly hops in the aroma. A bit of hops along with some sweet maltiness in the taste. Dry finish. HighlanderOne (547), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Poured from bottle. Um, isn’t Peak the name of an anti-freeze? I’ll risk it anyway. Aroma of hops and lavender. Head resembles sea foam, dark amber look. Mellow hops dominate, with creamy feel and woody aftertaste. Falls a bit short of other APAs, but not bad just the same. hoeg0015 (11), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 13, 2008 very light amber pour with very little head. subtle hoppy smell. tastes more like a german-style pilsner to me. call me crazy. this is not the taste i anticipate when i drink a domestic pale ale. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Copper color with no head. Dusty hop aroma. Very dusty hop taste, like a hop plant that got sand blasted in the dust bowl and they didn’t wash the residue off before throwing them into the boil. Solid bitterness.
