Light golden color with lacing that sticks to the side of the glass. Taste is a little bitter from the hops but balanced out by sweetness. Nice smooth palate and great crisp aftertaste. Nothing too out of the ordinary but a solid and pleasant pale ale. Light cereal malt.Too much diacetyl flavor for me. Golden color and off white head. Would like more hop flavor. ChainGangGuy (2613), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA

Appearance: Pours a bright-looking, clear, golden-copper body with a tall, foamy, just off-white head. Tiny bits of lace splattered along the inner walls of the glass on the way down.
Smell: Well, it’s a pleasant, Lazy Susan of various beer-based notes spinning about my nose: pale malts, meager toast, caramel, spicy hops, citrus, and even some unsalted butter.
Taste: Pale, toasty malts with a restrained sweetness and light taste of caramel rushing in with a buttery boost of diacetyl. Citrusy, spicy hops with a medium level of bitterness to balance out that initial sweetness. Finishes smooth and fairly dry with a little lingering butter and bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Decently smooth mouthfeel.
Drinkability: While I know some are sure not to appreciate that apparent diacetyl, I, personally, didn’t mind it too terribly much and thought, along with their Brown and Amber, that it was fairly decent. altonbrownd (1962), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2009 A: Poured with a fairly large, white frothy head that diminished to a 1/4-finger size. Body is golden-colored and very slight hazy.
S: Aroma is of light hops... and a slight skunkiness that kind of distracts from the hop smell. Weird.
T: Decent flavor of citrus tones and hops, leading to a moderately-bitter finish. Solid, but nothing spectacular.
M: Medium-bodied and slightly creamy, with average carbonation.
D: Very drinkable... not the best of all the pale ales out there, but far from the worst, either. daknole (3027), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Aroma is sweet with cereal grains, stank lagerish notes and a weird meat smell. WTF? Flavor is sweet and very grainy. Light sourish hops on the finish.
