On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, coffee and a touch of sweet malt. Taste of coffee, dark roasted malt and light chocolate. Mild bitterness and acidity on the finish.

On draught at the brewery’s taproom in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with an average creamy tan head that slowly dissipates to a beige cream top and spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted dark malts with some dark chocolate and a touch of coffee. Taste is medium to full bodied, flavors of roasted dark malt, some chocolate, oatmeal and coffee. Finish is smooth and creamy texture and has a nice balance of coffee, chocolate and dark toasted malt with a hint of bitterness. One of the best balanced coffee infused stouts I’ve tried that does not have an over-powering coffee aroma and taste. Nicely done.
